Igor Meijer, a rower, sailor and surfer, abandonned the world of fashion photography over 10 years ago to dedicate his photographic eye to sports, covering the Olympics in Atlanta (1996), Sydney (2000) and Athens (2004).
These days he shoots sports, landscapes and portraits. His work is featured in such magazines as l'Equipe Magazine, VSD, Monde 2, Figaro Magazine, Sports Illustrated, L'OPTIMUM, GQ, and the dailies L'EQUIPE, et LE MONDE.
His recent clients include MAIF, GROUPAMA, ALTIA, CORIOLIS, AGENCE DE L'EAU, CONSEIL GENERAL DE SAVOIE, SHELL, IMA (Inter Mutuelle Assistance), EDF, CARREFOUR, Offices de tourisme (Bellevaux, Les Gets...), DMC Dollfus Mieg et Cie, Concept 2, VERSPIEREN, Trade Winds & TORRENT, and the agencies TBWA and HAVAS SPORT.
In 2004 Meijer contributed the photographs for a travel book on Corsica, "Voyage au Cap Corse" (published by Garde Temps). He currently is working on two new personal projects -- a book of Urban Landscape photography and a book of Rowing photos.
